John Robert Doran

 

Born 3rd quarter 1895 in Higher Walton.  1901 living with cousin, William Arkwright, in Wigan.  1911 living with stepfather William Henry Landrem and mother Elizabeth at 68 School Lane, Bamber Bridge.

 

Enlisted in RFA, service number 680547, later 429944 Pioneer in the Royal Engineers.

 

Gassed, August 1917.  Returned to the front.  Died 1968.
